## How the math works

amount financed = price - down; M = P x i x (1 + i)^n / ((1 + i)^n - 1), i = rate / 12

The amount financed is the price minus any down payment and trade-in. That balance is amortized monthly so the level payment retires the loan over the term you enter.

Desert Rock Capital is a licensed Utah consumer lender. Our product is a personal installment loan of $100 to $3,000, with no credit check, no collateral, and fixed biweekly payments, for Utah residents. This calculator estimates an auto loan payment. Desert Rock Capital does NOT offer auto loans; our personal loan is unsecured. It is general and educational, not an offer. Other lenders and products calculate costs differently, and your actual terms depend on your own agreement. We use the standard formula cited below so the math is transparent and not our invention.
